I actually used my time well and sewed. See, we are in the middle of a heat wave for the Seattle area (oh my goodness, it reached SEVENTY DEGREES yesterday!). And anyways, this heat wave hits us with no appropriate clothing. So, I sewed up some shorts for the boy child. And waited on the Internet Company guy to come and set me up with a new modem as ours died late last night.

So, yeah, these shorts. No photos yet, sorry. But boy were they easy. I used a pair that was purchased just a couple of days ago that fit him great to copy a quick pattern off. And seriously, I think they were finished within 30 minutes. I swear. Easy peasy. I’ll try to put together a tutorial or directions here in the next few days as I think he might need a couple of more pairs to bring his total of shorts from 2 to 4. Or something.

But annnyyyways, on to today’s May Fabric Grab. I’m offering up the fabric that I used for my son’s shorts – Blue Plaid from Felicity for Riley Blake Designs.A yard is $6.00, a 1/2 yard is $3.00, and a fat quarter is just $1.75.
